Återkallelse av brev från Sociologförbundet till ISA

Den 14 april skickade Sociologförbundet ett brev till ISA för att, i enlighet med stämmans beslut, återkalla det brev som skickades den 27 oktober. Återkallelsen inkluderas nedan.

Brev till ISA från Sociologförbundet 14 april

To the Executive Committee of the International Sociological Association,

We are writing to formally withdraw the letter previously submitted by the Swedish Sociological Association regarding ISA decision to temporarily suspend the Israeli Sociological Society's membership in the ISA.

Following a debate among our members, the matter was put to a vote at the association's general assembly during Sociologidagarna in Växjö on 19 March 2026. The assembly voted in favour of withdrawing the letter.

We therefore ask that the original letter be considered retracted and no longer treated as reflecting the position of the Swedish Sociological Association.
